Each wrap around design can be painted again, but never the same way twice. The brush lands a little differently, a flower sits a little higher, a colour settles a shade warmer. What reaches you is its own version.

How a piece is made

Nothing here is printed. This is what happens between plain cloth and the piece that reaches you.

  1. Cloth

    Cotton, linen, silk or organza, prepared before any colour goes on.

  2. Motif

    Figures, flowers, leaves or abstract forms, laid out by hand, so the placement shifts a little every time.

  3. Paint

    Brushed on by hand with eco-friendly, azo-free colours.

  4. Finish

    Colours made not to peel or fade. Hand wash or dry clean, steam iron on low, and it keeps.

How does sizing work?

Wrap arounds are 40 inches long and adjustable at the waist, made for a 28 to 36 inch waist. Blouses are free size and fit up to 40, with a V-neck, front hooks and no padding. Sarees measure 5.5 by 1.1 metres. Each piece's page lists its own details.

When will it reach me?

Within India, most pieces arrive in 5 to 10 days and a few blouses take 10 to 15, because each is finished by hand. The time for each piece is on its page. Shipping within India is free.

Outside India, shipping is free on orders above ₹20,000, and delivery takes at least 7 days from dispatch. Import duties, if any, are paid on delivery.

Will mine look like the photos?

Very close, but not identical. Every piece is painted by hand, so the brushwork and the placement of each motif vary a little. Colours can also look slightly different from one screen to another.

How do I look after it?

Hand wash or dry clean, steam iron on low heat, and don't tumble dry.

What if something is wrong with my order?

If a piece arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, email support@gifthread.com with photos within 24 hours of delivery. Returns are reviewed case by case for an exchange or refund.

Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of placing them. Exchanges for size or colour aren't possible, so check the size details first.
